What can new patients expect on their first visit to Dunn Chiropractic Clinic

New Patient Consultation
On your first visit to our office, our receptionist will assist you in completing your initial paperwork. A professional staff member will escort you to the consultation area, where you will meet with our doctors to discuss your health concerns and/or pain symptoms, and determine if further examination or testing is needed. Consultations (without examination or x-rays) are always given at no charge for those wanting to know more about about our clinic as well as how chiropractic may help.

First Visit Examination
A careful spinal examination and analysis is performed to detect any structural abnormalities which may be affecting or causing your condition. You may be tested in several different areas with special emphasis given to any area of concern. Our doctors may also check your eyes, ears, nose, throat, heart, lungs, pulse, respiration rate, cervical and lumbar range of motion, muscle strength. Your exam may also include: x-rays, laboratory analysis and other diagnostic images, orthopedic tests, neurological tests, chiropractic balance tests, and/or a gait analysis.

Diagnostics Testing
Depending on your needs, several diagnostic tests are available in our clinic or by referral to another health facility. With every test, a report of patient examination findings is documented through state-of-the-art computer software. With any test, our doctors will discuss your results and care options in person, over the phone, or with your physician.

X-Ray Services
If your condition requires x-ray clarification, the proper films can be taken, developed and analyzed in our clinic. On an as-needed basis, we may also refer you for extensive pathology and impairment report with an outside medical professional. X-rays help us rule out more serious conditions or assist us in developing the most effective treatment plan for you. Most people are amazed once they see their x-rays and can often immediately identify their misalignments and degeneration themselves.

Referrals
Some patients may require an MRI, CT Scan, Labs, or injection, which can be coordinated with one of our trusted network of medical professionals. When such services are deemed necessary our office staff would be happy to schedule an appointment for you.

Individualized Chiropractic Plan
Once you’ve completed the prescribed diagnostic tests, we will schedule an appointment for you to review the findings. With every patient, we create an Individualized Chiropractic Plan based on their specific needs and goals that allows us to track progress and modify treatment to optimize results.
